Hi everyone, this is a reminder about the Self-Defense Tournament coming up Saturday January 25, 9 AM. It is mandatory for all students Yellow belts and above to support this tournament. We here at Seigido Ryu have developed this type of competition. This is the first time it is being done outside our school. Master Noah Pultros is hosting the tournament and it is in PA. It will be a small Tournament and is very important for us to support it. Cost for student entry is $25. We will meet at the Dojo and leave 7:30 AM. it should take approx. one hour to get there. Parents can come or drop their child off, we will carpool. Bring snacks and water. We may go out for lunch but not sure.
Students should have a clean and pressed Gi (uniform) and Patches should be on their Gi. Must remember you represent the Lord first then your Dojo, your instructors, your family, and yourself last. Do not be concerned with winning or losing, leaving that in God's hands. Just do your best, put your trust in Jesus. This is part of one's training. It helps the student learn how to work things through pressure. How to deal with fear and nerves and for the Christian it can be a faith builder as they learn to put their trust in God.
